When I first brainstormed my magazine name I started with just typical music-related words such as 'noise', 'play', 'beat' and 'pause' but i found that none of these were individual enough to make a statement. So I decided not only did I want it to target music, but specifically my own genre. As I am aiming for an 'alternative' music genre I tried words relating to it, and came up with 'P.O.A' (Pontential for Alternative), 'different' and 'unique'. Though as I personally find magazine titles that are short and just one word more memorable and powerful at targeting an audience so for my own magazine my title will be just one word. Eventually I decided on synonyms of Alternative, such as 'other', 'option' and 'preference'. I personally enjoy the title 'Other' as it's both unique and kind of appealing as you know it deviates from the norm just due to the name, but I will first ask others that fit my target group which they prefer and then decide.
